报告题目:On Polynomial Approximation: Gauss versus Chebyshev, and Lagrnage versus Hermite-Fejer
报告摘要:In this talk, we give a quick trip to polynomial approximation. Convergence rates for various point systems are studied, and the results turn out that polynomial interpolation based on the Gauss-Legendre, Legendre-Gauss-Lobatto, or at strongly normal point systems, has essentially the same approximation accuracy as those using the two Chebyshev point systems. Furthermore, fast and stable implementation of polynomial interpolation is considered.
