摘要: The shift operator on a separable infinite dimensional Hilbert space is an important object to study.There is also a notion of shift operators defined on any (infinite dimensional) Banach space.In this talk, we will study shift operators on the space C0(X) of continuous functions on a locally compact space X. We will study the structureof those shift operators. We also study the structure of the base space X whenever a shift operator exists on C0(X).
报告人简介：
黄毅青老师本科、硕士研究生毕业于香港中文大学数学系，博士毕业于美国普渡(Purdue) 大学数学系(Advisor: L. G. Brown)，现任国立中山大学应用数学系特聘教授。黄老师共发表了数学论文159篇，其中发表在SCI 期刊者有132篇，且在WOS中共有1059个被引用纪录, h-index = 16. 他为多份著名SCI数学期刊，如Operators and Matrices, Linear and Multilinear Algebra, Banach Journal of Mathematical Analysis等, 担任编辑委员。他在Banach-Stone 问题和算子代数间的保距和保斥映像问题，有所突破。在Fleming和Jamison的专著Isometries on Banach spaces: function spaces (Chapman & Hall/CRC) 中，有专门的一节讨论他的结果。另外，在Narici和Beckenstein 的名著“Topological Vector Spaces” 的最新第二版(2012年出版)的第九章和第十章中，也有多处引用了黄老师有关Banach-Stone 问题、加权复合函数和Banach格上的Hahn-Banach扩充性定理的结果。
